SR-60 Central Avenue Improvement Project
Client| San Bernardino County Transportation Authority
2019 - 2022 | $29 Million
The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) in partnership with Caltrans will be making improvements to a portion of SR-60 in Chino. The SR-60 Central Avenue Interchange project will widen Central Avenue to accommodate three through-lanes with provisions for a future lane, two left-turn lanes, standard shoulders, bike path, and sidewalk in both the northbound and southbound directions. The existing eastbound and westbound entrance ramps will also be widened to accommodate two general purpose lanes and one high occupancy vehicle (HOV) preferential lane.
Scope of ZTC work in the project ranged from preparation of project Source Inspection Quality Management Plan (SIQMP) for Caltrans Oversight SMR, implementing the SIQMP along with SIQMP monthly reports, reviewing fabricators quality control plans, performing material engineering and quality assessment of fabrication. ZTC is also coordinated and managed source fabrication items such as overhead sign structures, prestressed precast girders, epoxy coated bars, welded hoops, couplers, electrical poles, column casings, soil nails, and more.
