The I-405 Improvement Project in Fountain Valley, which includes crucial water pipeline relocations, is a massive effort by OCTA and Caltrans to widen 16 miles of the freeway, replace 18 bridges, and add express lanes from SR-73 to I-605. This project, aimed at improving traffic flow and infrastructure, has involved extensive construction, including utility relocations, and is nearing completion with significant structural changes in the Fountain Valley area, such as at Warner Avenue and Magnolia Street.

ZTC supported City of Fountain Valley on QA verification of water pipeline installation, performed by Design-Builder, OC Partners, on I-405 Design-Build project that encompassed 8 bridges overcrossing the I-405 freeway. ZTC’s scope of work consisted of welding inspection on CMLC water pipeline. As well as observed the concrete coating of welded pipes.
