Farzad is a licensed civil engineer with 22 years of experience in design, construction, and QC/QA on public transportation projects. He holds CWI and CQA certifications and has deep expertise in Caltrans and Greenbook standards, welding codes, and steel fabrication. Farzad has developed quality plans and played a key role in implementing Electroslag Welding (ESW) for a Caltrans project.
Derick is a licensed civil engineer with over 9 years of experience in quality management and construction oversight. He currently supports the Quality Management Oversight program on a Progressive Design-Build light rail project and has led QA/IQA efforts on Caltrans Design-Build contracts. His expertise includes SIQMP/QMP development, audits, design and construction reviews, and Caltrans standards.
Walter is a California-licensed Professional Engineer with nearly 24 years of registration and over 30 years of experience in commercial and civil design and construction. His background includes design-build fieldwork, quality control, and construction administration on major projects.
Cole, a licensed civil engineer in California, has four years of experience as a Project Quality Engineer. Proficient in Caltrans standards, Cole has prepared and implemented Quality Management Plans, conducted inspection verifications, reviewed contractor submittals, and managed inspector dispatching to ensure effective project quality management.
Araceli Gutierrez is an Assistant Quality Engineer at ZTC, supporting inspection dispatch operations. Since joining in 2024, she’s brought strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a positive attitude. Araceli recently earned her B.S. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Sustainability from CSU Northridge and contributes with adaptability and a solid foundation in engineering principles.
